The Flavor Chase received this flower from an acquaintance working in the cannabis industry. Though we received this flower for free, TFC is not affiliated with SF Canna in any way and the company did not preview or have any influence over the content of this review. That being said, the quality of any product that comes through The Flavor Chase must speak for itself. So I hope SF Canna is here to compete! Let’s get to the review.
Appearance

I received a 1/4 of small flower. Upon opening up the pack, the first thing that I noticed was how purple the flower is. It’s such a deep purple that it’s reminiscent of a bruise. The dark purple flower is contrasted by brighter orange hairs and frosty trichomes. Some of the buds have beautiful trichome clusters and really standout once you observe them closely. There’s very little I think would improve the quality on this and it does have me excited to see what those top colas looked like. The cure is excellent. Buds give a nice loud snap and the stickiness is all the way there.
Nose

The nose on this flower is a combination of sweet fruit, cream and fuel. The fruity and creamy notes dominate the profile but underneath is some diesel fuel. Dessert profiles are more common these days in cannabis and this one is a prime example of that. It’s a fragrant flower, but it could be louder. If you like that sweet Gelato type of profile, this one does lean in that direction.
The Smoking Experience (Taste and Effect)

I rolled approximately 1 – 1.5 grams in a RAW Black Organic hemp paper. Breaking the flower down with a Flower Mill Mini, I was left with a nice fluffy crumbled texture that retained much of the trichomes. The flower held together and rolled easily. The dry hit was much like a dessert and would be up your alley if you like these sorts of terpene profiles.
After lighting the joint with a hemp wick, the profile of the nose is immediately noticeable and begins to take on a more Gelato type of cologne. The fuel elements less noticeable, it becomes a dessert lover’s friend. I could see this being pressed into some even tastier rosin. All in all it’s a really tasty flower. The flavor is paired up with excellent smoothness. Nostril exhales are pleasant and leave a pretty intense aftertaste.
This flower is high in THCa. Effects presented themselves early into the smoke session. Starting off as a minor cerebral head change, an intense body relaxation kicked in about 5-7 minutes later. The relaxation was like that of pressure from a massage that could be felt from head to toe, with noticeable sensation in the face, neck, shoulders and feet. 5 minutes after the joint the effects have set in. The cerebral change is intense and encourages thoughts to travel from subject to subject. At the same time, the body is hit with such a relaxation that I could feel comfortable saying f*** everything going to sleep. But there’s still exercise to get done, and I don’t think there’d be an issue doing some light cardio. With my tolerance being where it is, this is an enjoyable and relaxing functional feeling that works great in the evening or walking the dog. I probably wouldn’t smoke this one socially, unless I was with someone who I know wouldn’t blow my high. This would most likely smack a lightweight silly so if that’s you, know that a little bit goes a long way. Mix it in with some flavorful type 3 or pack a bowl and see how you feel.
Final Thoughts and Shelf Placement

SF Canna cultivates their flower in the 415. The SFC. The Sco. Frisco. San Francisco’s Sunset District. This is true Bay Area cannabis. This is what Bay Area cannabis is about. High quality, flavorful, potent, purple dank. Zerbert earns points in every category from how it looks, how it smells, how it tastes, to how it effects you. With effects exceeding 45 minutes a high tolerance, your day could end if you smoked a full joint with a low tolerance. There isn’t much to say. The quality speaks with this one.
