Ethics Statement

This order was paid for by The Flavor Chase. Though we do speak with and have a good relationship with Beleafer, the contents of this review are my own thoughts and the company had no influence, nor were they allowed to preview its contents prior to release. That being said, Tyler (owner and head cultivator of Beleafer) is fully aware that at That Flavor Chase, the quality of products must always speak for themselves. And he’s here to compete. So, let’s get into the review.

Appearance

The most recent drop by Beleafer is (in my humble opinion) a masterclass in beautiful cannabis cultivation. As of late, nearly every flower that I’ve seen from them has that boutique exotic look. This PSC is no exception to the rule. It’s an absolutely beautiful looker with its green color and heavy trichome coverage. If it were a Type I flower, it’d easily stand toe-to-toe with the $55 – $65 1/8th of a California dispensary. These flowers are sticky to the touch, leaving an oily/greasy feeling on the fingers. I recommend using a grinder with this flower or else you’ll lose so much good bud on your fingers.

Nose

Pineapple Sugar Cookies lives up to its name in the nose department. Opening the pack truly does remind me of a bag of cookies. It’s sweet, like a dessert with piney elements. The Legendary OG pheno that was used to make the latest series of crosses from High Alpine Genetics is very much noticeable in the flowers that I’ve tried (Legendary Banana Mac, Lemon Cookie Dough, PSC). Breaking the flower down, some herbal notes are revealed add some more body to the profile. However, the dominant notes truly do remind you of a pack of sweet cookies.

The Smoking Experience (Taste and Effect)

I rolled approximately 1 – 1.5 grams of flower in a RAW Black Organic hemp paper. As mentioned earlier, this is a STICKY flower. The consistency is perfect for rolling a joint or a blunt as it easily forms and holds together. The dry hit is very much like a pack of cookies or sugar cake.

Once lit, the first thing I noticed was how smooth the flower is. I can’t remember the last time I had an indoor grown flower from Beleafer that was a harsh smoke. The smoothness is coupled up with a noticeably sweet and forward flavor profile. Inhales are semi sweet, while nostril exhales leave behind a more complex sweet cookie aftertaste. My taste buds pick up on various notes and overall, I’m enjoying myself.

Somewhere between 1/3 – 1/2 of the joint left, effects begin to present themselves. This flower doesn’t smack you upside the head, it creeps up on you. For a CBDA Type III flower, I found this one rather potent. A physical sensation kicks in up top and wraps around the head. My eyes feel a little bit heavier and shoulders a little more relaxed. As time passes, the feeling actually intensifies. This pack does contain mixed phenos and the bud that I broke down feels stronger than the average Type III. Shabazz might refer to a joint of this one as a more of a “2.5” for how strong the buzz is. I don’t think I would’ve noticed this feeling had I just had a hit from a glass or water pipe.

Final Thoughts and Shelf Placement

Beleafer continually improves with each run. It’s been really cool to see how they’ve grown as a company and congratulations to them on the purchase of their new farming location. This PSC was a great smoke. The flower itself is a visual treat to look at. It’s got a nice sweet nose and taste, but I do wish there was a little bit more happening with it like their Lemon Cookie Dough, for example. This is a potent, more heady flower, great for a daytime experience. My personal preference is for more indica dominant hybrids, but this stands toe to toe once effects fully set in. It’s a good time to be looking into Type III cannabis. The flavor profiles are catching up to its Type I sibling and you don’t want to miss out on not only what’s happening now, but what’s to come.
