Ethics Statement
I received this flower as a free sample with an order that I paid for. Though I am in contact with the owner of Beleafer, the company has no influence whatsoever on the contents on my review nor were they allowed to preview it prior to public release. The only money exchanged was me paying for my order.
Appearance
You can see from the photo above that this is a beautiful flower. Dense, sticky, covered in trichomes and a nice vivid green color with bits of purple sprinkled throughout. The trim work is excellent, with no fan or sugar leaf present. The Type III cannabis market has vastly improved over the years. We now have flowers that are indiscernible from even the best Type I THC dominant cannabis on the market.
Nose
As the name implies, Strawberry Chem has noticeably strawberry nose. It’s similar to strawberries and cream when you first pop the pack open. Once you breakdown the flower a slightly chem smell does reveal itself, but it’s buried underneath a much heavier strawberry-cream profile. Though it is a really nice profile on the nose, it falls slightly behind some of the other flowers recently released by Beleafer.
Taste
The dry hit, similar to its nose: strawberries and cream. However, it isn’t as loud as some of the other flowers that I’ve recently tried from the company. Smoked inside a Raw Black paper, there’s a discernible terpene profile. The lead strawberry from the nose becomes a sweeter aftertaste behind a neutral and smooth smoke. The slightly chem undertones to the ground up flower disappear, however. It’s without a doubt a good and smooth smoke, just not the full bodied flavor of some of its Legendary OG siblings produce.
Effect
After smoking the joint I sat back and waited for about 5-10 minutes. In that time a slight heady sensation kicked in. Not a euphoric high, but a noticeable slight buzz. It’s similar to having 1 wine cooler or a Truly beverage in terms of its strength. It is a 100% functional effect that I think would pair perfect with a morning cup of coffee or tea. Those looking for something of a more pronounced body or mental effect may disappointed, but the point of Type III is to be more mellow and less intense of an effect as its Type I and II counterparts.
Final Thoughts and Shelf Placement
Strawberry Chem is another excellent example of the cultivation from Beleafer. It carries all of the traits of visually appealing cannabis. Dense, sticky, frosty, beautiful color. It’s got a nose that matches the name, although the “chem” isn’t as loud as the strawberry. It’s got a nice taste on it, which while not the most flavorful, does remind you of the nose it possesses. In terms of effects, it’s a balanced daytime use flower. Consumers can expect a lighter and non-overwhelming sensation that settles in the head and doesn’t heavily relax the body. Overall, this flower is TFC recommended.
